With a Capital ‘T’!
by Leslie Sann
“Trouble with a capital “T”
And that rhymes with “P”
and that stands for pool!”
~ Robert Preston
“There is nothing wrong with you,” I heard myself saying to a client.
She was stuck in a very understandable complaint that her mind was driving her crazy.
The mind can do that.
It is designed to manage our survival on this planet. The mind functions by going into the future, referencing the past, and designing action in the present in order to support a preferred outcome.
This is how we are creative. We bring new things into existence because of this function of the mind.
Yet, the mind can get very busy fretting about an imagined future and regretting an already lived life.
If we don’t take dominion and use the information the mind brings us as guidance towards action, but instead let the mind keep us stuck in useless thinking, we’re in trouble.
Trouble,
with a capital “T,”
And that rhymes with “D”
Which that stands for
. . . disturbance!
Another way to say we live in upset.
A key power move in life is learning to calm down, come to quiet, so we can use what the mind is bringing to us and lift up into creative action.
If you haven’t yet mastered this power move, I invite you to sign up for my Calm Down Lift UP program here: Calm Down Lift UP
And just so you know, I’m in the process of writing a book by that same title.
Stay tuned.
To me, coming to peace is one of the most powerful moves we can make. It opens the door to our creativity, resourcefulness, resilience, joy … and more.
So calm down and lift UP!
Blessings,
