Life Happens — Now What?

“The Corona Phenomena” has shaken us out of our complacency, disturbed our comfort and challenged us to come present to our lives. Though this is a Life Happening event, we don’t have to relate to the situation as victims to our circumstances. Instead we can choose to relate from personal power and creativity. I call this place Living by Design.

The basic recipe for Living by Design is simple. But not easy.

Why is that?

Inertia. Inertia is a term that describes the fact that an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. Most of us fall into the comfort zone of the familiar and do not know how to move towards what we want. After awhile it becomes habitual to experience life as if it is happening to us, rather than living from a place of personal power and creativity. Corona can be seen as a blessing from this perspective. 

Why else isn’t Living by Design easy?

Ignorance. Ignorance is not stupidity. Ignorance is a lack of knowledge or information. Many people just don’t know how to go about Living by Design.

Corona is a change we are all living through at the same time. Yet, the only thing constant in life is change. Most people don’t like this fact and continually argue with reality. As a result they create unnecessary suffering. One of the keys to successful living is becoming competent in dealing with change. When we learn to engage with change we can positively impact the direction of our life.

Getting clarity on where you are and where you want to be is vital to experiencing the joy that comes when you are living the life you want. Clarity relieves the stress that saps your power, resilience and immunity. Once you have clear vision you are in a realistic position to contribute a the outcome you prefer.

Living by Design is also not easy because we often lack a network of support. We think we need to manage things on our own. But not asking for support undermines our productivity, vitality and well-being.

Over the past weeks I have heard many speak of qualities of experience and enhanced relationship that have developed as a result of the “Great Pause.” Some have also become aware of limiting patterns that they would like to move past. 

What about you? What are some “doing things differently” you have discovered that you choose to integrate into your life? In these uncertain times, it serves to align your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your intentions

I invite you to take time for yourself on an ongoing basis and envision a future you’d like to create for yourself, your life, this planet. This forum is a good place to get support in doing so. Structure and support over time can make a difference.

This is an opportunity to clarify your intentions and move into action on purpose by:

  • choosing to thrive in the midst of what is going on
  • receiving support in creating your “next” in these times of change
  • co-creating with intention and action

Saying yes, is saying yes to you. Yes, I will participate as a creative force in my life. Yes, I will show up for me. Yes, I will clarify my intentions, refine my vision and design action to support what I want to create. Structure and support over time can make a difference.

Take advantage of community. Remember, your life is your own design, yours to create, yours to guide, and yours to enjoy. Be good to yourself, get support.

The Value of a Group

An object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. Learning the tools, technology, skills, and techniques offered in these gatherings will become that outside force to get you moving in the direction you want to go.

Imagine a spaceship circling around the earth. It needs a booster rocket so that it can break out of the gravitational force field of the earth. We need booster rockets to get us out of the gravitational force field of our habits and patterns.

The value of connecting to a group like this, a network of support, can be the difference between a successful venture and one that plods along without a roadmap.

This is a forum to celebrate wins, declare intentions and receive support from me and the group — a safe place to learn and grow while moving into purposeful action. Let this group be your booster rocket.

How The Event Will Unfold

This forum is interactive. We’ll spend the hour learning life skills that support creativity and manifestation. We will explore one topic per call. Exploratory exercises designed to assist you in gaining clarity and moving into action are part of each session. There will be time for questions and interaction.

Please set aside 60+ minutes for the time we will be together. I encourage you to set aside time just for you after our call. During this time you can turn your insights into action and start to execute while your enthusiasm and ideas are fresh.

Q: Everyone is doing Zoom these days. What the hey is it?
A: Zoom is a videoconferencing software that works great for online classes. Go here to download the app for any/all of your devices: Once you have downloaded the app you are set up for any Zoom experience you attend on the future.

Q: Will I be able to ask questions during the calls?
A: You will be able to interact not only with me but with the other participants as well. You will also be able to ask for assistance if you are stuck and receive guidance during the call.

Q: Once I register, how can I get the most out of the class? 
A: I suggest that you set a clear intention about what you want to get out of participating in the program. Ideally you will come to the first call with a sense of what you would like to create. You will learn more and faster if you can apply what you are learning to something that is real and active in your life. If you are unclear, that is okay. The first session will help you. You could have an intention to leave the first gathering with a clear intention!

Q: What if I sign up for all 5 weeks and miss a week?
A:  If you sign up for the full 5-weeks the audio will be available to you as part of your tuition.

Q: How early can I get on the call?
A. I will be there 10 minutes early to greet you and answer any questions.

Q: How late can I get on the call?
A: I begin on time. I suggest joining us before start time as sometimes, not often, getting on can be a challenge. And that is up to you.

Once we hit the top of the hour I’m fully in the class and cannot handle technical glitches. I wish I could do both. Alas, my mom was correct. She tried to explain to me when I was a little girl that I can’t be in two places at once. I hate it when she is right!

I realized how vague my goals have been and realized why nothing was ever getting crossed off my to-do list. I now find myself breaking goals down into doable chunks and taking concrete action. I learned how to be more active in my own life, and focus on the positive thus producing effect results. I am amazed at the new me!
