Transcending the Tribe

aka Oy to Joy / Divine Chutzpah

Over 12 months, we’ll explore patterns that may have been carried through generations — in thought and behavior, identity and belonging, exile and survival, loss and longing, and our relationship with authority and with God.

We’ll use Jewish history, culture, and consciousness as doorways into recognizing these patterns, clearing what limits us, and moving beyond conditioned identity toward the freedom of Being.

And yes, there’s the oy — the kvetching, worrying, arguing, guilt, righteousness, and endless thinking about thinking. And there are the blessings: extraordinary humor, resilience, intelligence, audacity, celebration, heart, and joy.

We’re transcending the limitations and taking the blessings with us.

Come for the clearing, stay for the humor, joy, and laughter.

All are welcome including goyim (non-Jews) and those who find themselves through marriage or otherwise in close proximity to this wacky desert tribe.

About Jeffrey Morgan

Jeffrey is Jewish and has had the privilege of studying with several rabbis, along with conducting personal research into recent archaeological discoveries, academic discourse about Judaism, and historical references in the Bible.

Jeffrey has been a student of Soul Transcendence—also called the Yoga of the Sound Current or Surat Shabd Yoga—from a young age (for more information visit msia.org). His spiritual practice is central to his life, his work, and how he serves.

His work includes helping people recognize and release patterns that no longer serve them, supporting a greater awareness of who they are. He brings his spiritual practice and clearing work to Transcending the Tribe, drawing on his exploration of Jewish history, culture, and consciousness.
