Exploring the Uncomfort-Zone
by Leslie Sann
There came a time when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

As a coach I help people transform their lives, solve problems and create their dreams. I’ve been doing this for almost 30 years. Coaching is about changing lives, growing from good, to Gooder Greater than that. It’s about creating the future you want to live in.
In order to do that we need to face the Monsters at the Edge of the Comfort Zone. The Comfort Zone also known as the zone of the familiar: accumulated experiences of a life time.
Why would we leave this cozy place of familiarity? In order to have a new experience … such as a new job, house, relationship, vacation … goals, dreams and visions … we need to create something other than we have and we do that be doing something different, something we haven’t yet done before.
Eek!
Oh Boy!
‘Eek’ arises when one of the Monsters of the Mind living at the edge of the comfort zone arises in an attempt to talk us back into the stupor of our comfort, that which is familiar based on our experiences up until now.
‘Oh Boy’ shows up when we focus on the gift of going for what we want even if we haven’t a clue how to create it.
The energy of ‘oh boy’ is the energy that thwarts the Monsters at the Edge … the joy of possibility, the enthusiasm for growth, the gift of action.
