I spent the holidays quietly this year—listening, resting, tuning into inner stillness.
And somewhere in that calm silence, a poem showed up. Playful, light, a little silly even—about nudges and breadcrumbs and what happens when we soften our hold and let life lead.
It made me smile. And it reminded me exactly why I created The Power of Surrender course—because this practice of listening, trusting, and moving with what’s unfolding isn’t heavy work. It’s actually quite simple. And when you get the hang of it, it’s delightful.
The Nudge
Everything is welcome, nothing is judged
when it’s yours to contribute, you’ll get a nudge
A whisper, a tingle, a feeling that’s right
like breadcrumbs appearing in soft golden light
Your belly might flutter, your fingertips tingle
The universe winks when it’s time to mingle
No pushing or forcing or trying too hard
just the clues dancing across your backyard
The dishes can sit, the emails can wait
when something says go, don’t hesitate
Trust in the timing, the gentle insistence
calling your presence with loving persistence
Everything flows when we soften our hold
and honor the nudge as the story unfolds
So pause when you feel it, this quiet invitation
each step that you take, a blessed revelation
